A little help with Knowear

Keep track of your clothes, wherever they are.

Add your first items

Tap Add Item, take or choose photos, then choose a location. You can create a location as you add. Quick Add is useful for basics without photos.

Photo identification

Photo identification needs an internet connection and is optional. During setup, the app asks you once to confirm you are at least 13 and, if under 18, have parent or guardian permission. Your choice is saved; you are not asked again for each photo. You can always enter details yourself. Identification can make mistakes, so review suggestions before saving. If it fails, keep the original photo, enter details yourself, and use Identify Photos on the saved item to try again later.

Membership and purchases

Open Settings → Annual Membership to subscribe or restore purchases. If you already have an active membership, open Manage Membership to manage it with Apple. Existing locations remain available to browse and export after a membership ends.

Photo Assist allowance

Annual membership includes 1,000 Photo Assist credits per subscription year. Identification and its first background removal share one credit. Retries, redos and processing attempts that fail after starting use credits too. Unused credits do not roll over. The allowance refreshes when the annual membership renews; restoring purchases does not reset it. Daily limits also apply. Manual entry uses no credits.

Moving to a new device

Knowear stores inventory locally; it does not currently offer cloud sync or import. Apple device backups may include app data. The JSON export contains inventory details and photo filenames, not the photographs themselves.
